Mortal
Lif and Lifthrasir
The human survivors hidden in Hoddmimir’s Wood, from whom humankind continues after the fire.

Overview
Lif and Lifthrasir make renewal more than divine survival. Chapter 53 says they hide in Hoddmimir’s Wood, feed on morning dew, and from them new humankind descends. Vafthruthnismol preserves the same survival tradition.
