Overview
Hvergelmir first appears within Niflheim as the spring from which cold rivers flow. Chapter 15 places it beneath the root of Yggdrasil that reaches Niflheim, joining the pre-creation depth to the later cosmic structure. It anchors the lower direction of the world tree.
