Overview

Hrauthung appears only in Grimnismol’s prose opening. After his two sons are driven out to sea, Geirröth reaches his father’s landing place first; the prose then says their father is dead and Geirröth becomes king. This record keeps only that manuscript frame and does not attach him to other royal stories.
