Thjazi
The giant who carries off Idunn and the apples of youth, and the father of Skadi.

Overview
Thjazi appears in Skaldskaparmal 1-2 first in eagle form, forcing Loki to swear that he will bring Idunn and the apples out of Asgard. After he takes Idunn, the gods age; Loki recovers her, and Thjazi is slain during the pursuit. Skadi then comes to Asgard as his daughter seeking compensation, so the abduction leaves an aftershock of marriage and settlement.
