Skidbladnir is made by the sons of Ivaldi in Skaldskaparmal 35 and given by Loki to Freyr. The text says it gains fair wind in whatever direction it sails and can be folded like a cloth into a pouch. It makes Freyr’s order about movement and craft as well as earthly fertility.
