Overview
Mimir is bound to the well beneath a root of Yggdrasil. Chapter 15 says Mimir’s Well holds wisdom and understanding, that Mimir drinks from it every day, and that Odin’s eye is hidden there. Chapter 51 again has Odin ride to Mimir’s Well before the last crisis, showing counsel still sought before doom.
