Overview
Greip is named as Geirrod's daughter in Skaldskaparmal 18. She appears only with Gjalp in the hall trap: the two lie below Thor's chair and make it rise toward the roof. Thor sets Gridr's staff against the rafters and presses back; the account says their backs are broken. Her brief appearance remains this ambush with its stated result, without inventing a personality or later history.
