Overview
Erytheia is the distant destination of the tenth labour. Heracles travels along Europe and Libya, sets up pillars at Tartessus, and only then crosses Ocean in the golden cup of Helios to reach Geryon’s island. The route pushes Erytheia to the world’s far edge, so this account does not convert the mythic voyage into one uncontested modern itinerary.
